To me there is nothing more attractive and foxier than grey hair.
And that goes for men and women.
Even as a kid, I remember looking at people with either salt and pepper or completely grey hair, longing for the day when my own hair would be that color.
And that day arrived when I was 27-years old and the person who was cutting my hair at the time said, “Ron…I don’t want to alarm you but you’re starting to get a patch of grey hair on the back of your head.” Well, you would have thought I had won the lottery because I got very excited and said, “Wait…are you kidding me?”
She said, “No…I really mean it. You’re getting grey, Ron. Sorry.”
My face immediately broke into a huge smile, I and said, “Quick, quick…give me a hand mirror and turn the chair around so I can see it in the big mirror!”
And lo and behold there it was, my first patch of grey hair.
Yes, I was finally on my way to becoming what I had admired for so long, a silver fox!
As most of you know, I was a licensed cosmetologist for over 15 years. And during that time I did my best to persuade my clients, both men and women, to stop coloring their grey hair and embrace their foxy fur.
Many of my clients were resistant at first, and some even refused. However, the ones who did listen, ended up loving it and were immensely grateful that I had convinced them to do so.
Not only were they saving money by not coloring their hair, but they also said that they were suddenly getting compliments about the way they looked.
Over the past five years, I’ve seen more and more customers, particularly women, proudly sporting their grey hair. And you have no idea how happy that makes me because I think they look so attractive.
And what I especially think is awesome is that I’m see more and more female editorial models with grey hair, which I feel is sending a positive message to women that not only is it okay to be grey, but it’s also chic, sexy, and something to be proud of.
Grey hair is slowly becoming less and less associated with aging, and more of something to embrace and celebrate.
Here are some images of why I think grey hair is so foxy!
